OUR STORY

Kapraãha India isn’t just a clothing label—it’s a celebration of heritage, craftsmanship, and sustainability, all rolled into one.

What’s in a name? A lot, actually! Kapraãha is the Persian/Urdu twist on ‘Kapra’, meaning fabric—and trust us, we don’t take fabric lightly.
Designed and styled by Anushree Saraf, a proud Jaipur native, Kapraãha is a nod to the rich textile legacy of her city, where every thread tells a story.

Our founder
Anushree Saraf

Anushree, who graduated in business and marketing from England in 2011, decided to combine her passion for textiles with her business acumen and launched Kapraãha in 2015. Her mission was to pay homage to the craft of hand block printing, passed down through generations of skilled artisans, and to keep this tradition alive—one block at a time.
But we’re not just about pretty prints—Kapraãha is about people. We work with artisans from the textile villages of Amer, Sanganer, and Bagru in Rajasthan, and Kutch in Gujarat. And, of course, we’re proud to uplift women by nurturing their skills in stitching (‘silai’) and weaving (‘bunai’). Welcome to Kapraãha—where every piece is more than just fabric. It’s a story, a craft, and a dream.
